MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Special Projects Group (SPG) of the Morris Area Genealogy Society (MAGS) is to contact local genealogy and history societies to view their collections.

The SPG will share the information about the society in the MAGS Newsletter. 

The SPG will index the society's holdings if they want us to do so; then the indexes or specific holding details will be put on the MAGS Public website.

SOCIETIES VISITED

Below is a table of list of societies that have been visited by the SPG, along with related information.

  • click on the  Article  Date link to read the Spotlight article which appeared in a MAGS Newsletter;
  • Images of America (IMOA) books or other records books of the town,  located in the North Jersey History and Genealogy Center (NJHGC) of the Morristown-Morris Township Library (MMTL), which have been indexed by MAGS, and are available here or click on the IMOA book and go directly to the Index;
  • to see an Inventory listing of holdings at a society, prepared by the SPG,  click on the  date of the Inventory, if one was compiled.
